How to Install Ring With Google Home

  • Visit the Google Home Assistant Ring Page

The first step in connecting Ring to Google Home is to link your Ring device by going to the Ring device section on the Google Home Assistant Services Page.

Before doing this, you should have your Google and Ring account information. This information helps you finish this process effectively.

  • Sign in to Google Assistant

Use the account you used with your Google Home device for individuals with multiple devices.

  • Choose the Google Home Device to Use with Ring

After signing in to your Google account, click Send to Devices.

The Ring supports several devices, including Android 6.0 and up Watches, Google Home Assistants, Android 6.0 TVs, Android 5.0 Phones, iOS 10.0 and up devices, smart displays, headphones, and Android 6.0 tablets. However, this process does not support other devices.

In addition, for users who have registered only one device to work with Google Home, only that type will be shown in the menu. So, if you have multiple Google Home device accounts, Choose the one you intend to work with Ring.

Note:- During the setup process, sometimes the Send to Device option doesn’t appear after signing in to Google.

  • Connect Your Ring Doorbell to Your Google Home Account

Once you select the “Send to Device” option, you will receive a notification in the Google Assistant app on your phone or tablet. This notification will request permission to link the Ring Doorbell to your Ring account. Select Yes.

  • Log in to your Ring account.

To do so, you will need to enter your Ring account information. You can enter these details whether you have a phone, tablet, or browser. The image below will display the Ring app’s sign-in screen whether you use an iPhone, tablet, or browser.

Once you have entered all the required account information correctly, you are probably asked to enter the information a second time, along with two-factor authentication. You will receive this code via text to the registered phone number with Ring. The two-factor authentication measure will prevent unauthorized access to your devices. Enter your login details and the OTP you received, then tap Sign In.

When you finish up, you might receive an email or text message about your account being activated by Google Home.

Allow Google Home to Access Your Ring Device

Click the orange Authorize button. Then, return to the Ring page in Google Assistant to ensure everything functions correctly. Then, refresh the page.

The Unlink option is also available on the upper right of the page.

Note: If you have decided to unlink Google Home’s access to your Ring device, click the Unlink button.

With this help, the device can check your ring device’s health and obtain information about many failures.
