The main benefit of using dark mode is its lower energy consumption. It consumes very little energy and is used with OLED or AMOLED panels. The OLED panel lits each pixel depending on the color values. If the system displays a white background, in this case, every bit of the computer displays, the system turns on each pixel. So it consumes more power to light all pixels on the computer system. Yet, there is less need to display pixels on the system, which lowers the power consumption.

  2. The dark background with light text color makes it challenging to read.
  3. If you have a smartphone with an LCD screen, it doesn’t support minimizing power consumption and maximizing the battery.
